JUMP Bikes in San Diego

JUMP Bikes in San Diego - Stay Classic

I was excited to hear that Uber has brought their electric assisted JUMP bikes to San Diego. I decided to use it as an excuse to explore a bit and highlight some of my favorite spots in the city.

I started off by picking up one of the bikes in Ocean Beach and rode it to one of my favorite spots out there to grab a chia or acai bowl called Nest. From there I cruised along the beach for a bit then popped over to Liberty Station and walked around. Then I had lunch at Soda & Swine

Safety should always be a priority should you ride an electric scooter or bike. These bikes have an electric assistant with pedaling, which makes it a lot easier to ride long distances or up hills. It feels a bit like walking on those people conveyer belts at the airport, but on a bike. It made it really smooth and easy.

After Liberty Station I went up and in to North Park… grabbed coffee at Dark Horse, and then ended the day at Tribute for a great pizza.

Overall I think that riding a bike is a great way to explore the city, and I love these bikes because you can just drop them off and grab another one and not have to worry about having it with you everywhere you go. It’s a perfect accessory to Uber car rides as well because you can bike and drive and bike and drive depending on the distance.
