For the past couple of weeks I have been using a Jawbone UP to track everything from my heart rate, to steps, to the amount of sleep I get (and what kind). It has been an eye opening experience. Especially the sleep tracking. I love seeing how much actual sleep I get and how long I am awake in the middle of the night. It’s nice to see the sleep chart since having a baby means you don’t get as much continuous sleep as you once did. Because the Jawbone UP is so lightweight and wearable I always have it on, and therefore, I am able to track every step I take. I wear it when I am photographing weddings, when I am just home for the day (which is surprisingly still a lot of steps!) and when I am walking around the city. It’s so exciting to see all your stats at the end of the day. And with their app you can compete with friends to reach goals which is fun as well. I first thought I wouldn’t like wearing something else on my wrist but I don’t even realize I’m wearing it anymore. And it goes just fine with my style and sits right next to my watch. They have a bunch of color choices as well so you can get one that matches your style.
